And what about your babies? How is all that going for you? Are they still squabbling?

My girls have been making the point these past few days that they are only in the run because they choose to stay there. They can escape any time they jolly well please! The last few mornings when I opened the gate I felt the air move as Lottie shot straight past my head & over the fence! Peeved @ being outdone Hepzibah simply jumped it ~ a considerable feat for a bird of her size & weight. And of course the Campines have no inhibitions about going up & over whenever the urge strikes. We have the lumber sitting there for the next stage of landscaping but @ present we need to move sandstone. we have crusher dust over half the road...

He went out yesterday morning and injured a front paw, but he'll likely be out again tomorrow. He get's all kinds of crazy sometimes. but he's using it again fine so we'll give him R&R until morning and then see how he does.

Oh gosh... well, I integrated the flowers today.. mostly went well.. my big gals are doing very well with them! Not paying much attention at all.. but the middles.. oh the middles ... relentless! It’s like that’s all they live for.. to just go after the ones they can go after! And Petunia and Vinny.. 2 of the Cochins are enjoying the fact that they FINALLY have others to pick on
Here they are enjoying every inch of the coop/run... I’m going to check on them just after dark and see where they end up.. maybe try and place them in the coop.. they are very skittish.

And about the other ones... the Cochins have seemed to settle in pretty well.. but that middles group.. not sure what’s up with them.. they are such an outcast bunch.. they stay very much to themselves (and like I said, just go after who they can, CONSTANTLY) ! They were the first group I had this year.. they were very friendly.. always sitting on me! Now they are so skittish and nervous! It’s weird. I got close enough to actually pet Goosie and the screamed the whole time.. eeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrr!! But yet she seemed to calm enough and sat down on the roost and just let me pet her..... but the whole time... eeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrr
