What do you do in the winter? I only buy free range eggs but I do love eggs.

Well fresh eggs last for many weeks (the shop ones are already a month old by the time they get to the supermarket shelves in the US) and really dark winter is only a few months long. And you can freeze a few in the summer for baking etc. So I don't buy eggs if I can avoid it.
