Tribe 2 on the steps waiting for lunch.

Tribe1 on the patio just above the steps where Tribe2 is. No problems.

I forget that Cillin is the son of Otic who used to live with Tribe2 and his (Cillin's)

father is the same father of Punch, Mag and the rest of Tribe2. They look completely different but they all have the same dad.

So, who was dad? None other than Harold, Blue Spot's life long partner. Nope, Harold wasn't cheating on her. Blue Spot consented to Otice joining the tribe even though Otic was half Marans and has the same grey feathering and Ruffles, Myth and Gedit. There is a story to be told here which I'll never make a decent job of writing mainly because it needs pictures and when it all went down, I didn't have a camera.:heView attachment 2395483
Is this up near the main house? I'm surprised the residents don't complain about all the chicken poop on the terrace. And their dogs are all good with the chickens? Bonus!

Lovely pictures. They always look so happy & tranquil on those steps.

It is.
One does.
They are.
All the dogs we've had here (4 at one point) have left the chickens alone and that incudes a Husky.
The reason they leave/left the chickens alone is because this dog, Blackie, not me:ptold them if they touched a chicken he would rip their thoats out. When Blackie died I took over with much the same message. We had a lot in common did Blackie and I.;)
There are dogs and there are dogs. Blackies mother was a proper farm dog and she trained him.

A well trained farm dog is something else. :) I'm not a dog person [as you know  ] but I have really liked every working dog I've got to know. Dogs seem to like to have a job & doing it well.

Having something like tendonitis makes it hard. When I finally have the time & money to do some of this stuff my body keeps hijacking me. It does not make me a happy bunny.
I'm in the same place...over & over again...getting older sure isn't for wimps...
Me too, Ladies. I have carpal tunnel and I had to quit playing the guitar. After about 15 minutes both my hands would hurt and be completely numb!
It bothers me when I am driving too.
Still, I would like to try knitting, and crocheting I think.

I love spending time with my flock! I like to inspect their pen and the majority of them are under my feet as they follow me around, it's so cute! I want to set up a bench out there, but haven't done it yet!
I have a plastic chair out in my run next to the coop door. I love having coffee with my girls in the morning.

I think Shad's in the same boat with the carpel. By this time of life it's not just the time, it's the experience & patience acquired but the energy's gone out the window, the eyes are a disaster & my hands will only take so much punishment ~ but, hey; why should my body win? It can jolly well do what I tell it & get over itself! :lau
