Ribh's D'Coopage

Sorry people - got muddled between threads - I was upset by @Shadrach's experience posted over on @BY Bob's thread. At least that is where I think it was. I am now so muddled I will just retreat and stay silent.
Shad is a tough customer & his chickens have a great advocate in him. Unless the troll also poisoned the shrubbery will grow back but it is a nasty, nasty business & for the life of me I have no idea why a person like that would choose to live in the country. Have a hug too. It sounds like we're all going to need some this morning. :hugs

Back at ya!

I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome in my left arm (which is my dominant arm) and I wear a brace to bed every night. It seems to have settled down, although I haven’t played the piano for quite some time.
I've had the operation on both wrists and I'm waitng for my left wrist to be done again.
The op is well worth having.

Happier times.

And do you?
It becomes more appealing every day. Sadly I am close enough to retirement that I do not want to take on more debt and an even up swap for my small house seems unlikely.

I also fear winding up as a true farmer with sheep and goats and pigs. @Kris5902 is a warning to me of what can come from moving to the farm. 😉 I am kidding Kris.

Mrs BY Bob loves all animals and sees them as fun, just as your child sees a dog as nothing but fun. And just like a child who promises to take care of a dog, she too would wind up leaving them in my care. Just like the chickens. Not that the chickens turned out bad..........

No, but taking on larger animals as you get older is hard, hard yakka. My dad took on 50 acres on retirement & raised Brahmas. Like Kris's cows they were large ,gentle beasts who came when called & followed his lead but they still had to go through the yards for deticking, & market & the reality was it was more than he should have been coping with however much he loved it.

Ha. The war is on. Luna had kicked a box out of the nesting boxes so she could lay this morning & both Alpia & Wrold were squeezed together sitting on her egg. Meanwhile Beatha was screaming @ both of them & pecking away so she could get in the box to lay. 🙄 There is trouble brewing thanks to those 2. The flock is pissed.
This is fascinating. I am very interested to see the flock break them. :pop
