The babies were out exploring the big wide world today.

Another lot that starts wadding for home when they see me coming. 🙄

Aww, getting to explore the wide open spaces...they have grown so quickly!

You're a party pooper...they just want to be in the front yard leaving their "ahem" calling cards on the porch...:D

Eventually I hope to get video of this, but Olivia has this curious running waddlehop as she cruises round her terrain. It's quite endearing ~ as so much of what Olivia does is.

Hopefully you can catch it on video...I would love to see it...right now she's just a blurry feather duster in motion! :love

It’s a big cake-sized baked meringue and you put cream and fruit on top.
Thank you Lozzy, it sounds delicious! Now that you've said that, I think @Ribh shared this in an earlier post! I need to check my bookmarks! :)

My grandmother always made one when we had get-togethers; she had lots of experience. The first time I made one it was flat as a pancake! :barnie

I was wrong, it was a recipe for her floating Island pudding. I need to make that too! I will have fresh berries in a couple of months and I always have plenty of eggs! :)

I thought I had a win this afternoon. All my girls followed me to the coop & obediently hopped in when I started tossing bread crumbs! Even the Vorwerks. :yesss: I shut the gate without counting. I count when everyone has roosted. They're pretty hard to keep track of when they're racing round the coop. I couldn't believe my luck when a streak of Black & white shot across my peripheal vision. Morrigu! 🙄 Naturally. :thI went round the yard once. I went round the yard twice. No Morrigu. The 3rd time I checked in everything that could hold a chicken. I checked under everything that could hide a chicken. I checked up high & I checked down low. I scoured all the known hiding places. That chicken had no intention of being found but find her I did. She shot out of her hiding place as if all the hounds of hell were on her tail ~ straight into the run. She doesn't like me too close when I open the gate for her so I stood back... :fl Luckily she was hungry & by then everyone else had eaten so she could have which ever feeder she preferred & pig as much as she wanted. That Hen!
