Ribh's D'Coopage

There's something very ... wormy ... about her conduct. Not sure if I'm conveying what I mean. Dishonest and self-deluding and reluctant to face truths. Makes her very, very revolting.
Nailed it. :) I couldn't even feel sorry for her. :( Ah well, water under the bridge now but I thought @ the time I pity the young man who marries her!

Evening folks:frow

Skyline, Kids and eggs all looked great :love

Jeannie, this project is going to keep busy for months.:th
:frow No more twiddling your thumbs @ the end of the month for you!:p

I integrated 3 different age groups from April - June... never again! And things are slowly starting to make sense.. but it is still a work in progress :he... last night I found one (Goosie:rolleyes: 1st group) sleeping in the sand under the 3 flowers :barnie... I have actually made the flowers (3 EEs and youngest ones) their own roosting area where the old roost used to be.. near the old nesting boxes.. that was the only way to get them into the coop.. they are deathly afraid of some of the big ones... and sometimes one of the Cochins (2nd group) is trying to “hide” in there as well.. I’m hoping as the flowers grow up they’ll move to the other roosts :fl.. but if they don’t it’s no big deal... but as for Lilly and Mak (1st group) and Gardenia and Petunia and sometimes Camellia (2nd group.. they have flower names as well but they are the Cochin bantams) they are all mixed in with the big gals and even have better roosting spots than them... so we are getting there but I think it was extra hard because of so many different ages...

Thanks for the reply WhoDat. Your flock sounds...complicated :D

Yall.. I got my first new egg yesterday AND another one today! :celebrate... they are itty bitty tiny things! And oh so cute! First two pics are yesterday’s which I THINK is Goosie.. not 100%.. last pic.. small egg on end is Lilly’s egg..100%.. the white egg in middle is Nilky’s (Silkie) egg... to compare...View attachment 1849033View attachment 1849034View attachment 1849035

First eggs are so exciting! Congratulations! :celebrate:clap

The girls have a beautiful morning again!
Not warm but we have sunlight & no wind & they had a lot to say to me when I went out to say Good Morning.

On other fronts:
We have a working shower again. The lad will be back today to finish laying the tiles. I have :fl that he will actually hook up my washing machine again. That would be good!

Amongst other things on our Tuesday trip to the mainland I bought my very first Tunisian crochet hook ~ which looks more like a lone knitting needle than anything else. I have NO idea how one wields this thing:hmm but You Tube, Here I come!
View attachment 1848040 The wool I ordered a month ago arrived while we were out ~ but I don't have enough. *sigh* Math & I...!!! :( I calculated on the last lot of wool I used in the gauge & needle size but something is wrong. I think this wool is actually thicker as I noticed my wrist was starting to ache so I will ring the store & if they don't have any I will have to order online again & wait simply ages before I can finish this off. I would like to get it to YD's friend before winter actually ends.:rant
View attachment 1848042 And because our postal system is so very reliable I picked up another lot of variegated wool. I love variegated wool!:love This will be for my mother, who has just turned 86 & is currently in Greece or Turkey & gallivanting my inheritance away.:lau

I still remember having "Basin baths" when my parents had the bathroom redone when I was about 6. It really makes you appreciate the comfort and convenience of hot running water!

That's a particularly stunning sunrise today :clap

Hello friends
I had a car crash today. An elderly chap wasn't paying attention and crashed into me when I was stationary on stretch of road that is usually a fast-moving highway. There was a 5 car pile-up up ahead, so the traffic was backed up. He wasn't paying attention, in my rear view, I saw him looking down instead of looking ahead- maybe at the radio or ac or his phone? Lucky for the car in front of me, I always a leave a long gap between myself and the next car, and when I saw the car behind me was not stopping, I pressed hard on my brakes and didn't run into the next car. But my little car is a goner
:hit
lucky I'm OK - just a soft tissue neck injury I think, but I'll get myself properly checked over tomorrow.

:hugs:hugs I hope you are OK MJ and have no lasting issues with your neck.

Strange how some people are too scared (or bullying) to even own their mistakes. The guy who ran into me yesterday didn't even say sorry. I'd have thought "I'm so sorry" would be the first thing out of his mouth.

It really annoys me when people don't own up to their mistakes. Especially in something so serious!
I hope you mentioned to the police that he was looking down instead of at the road when he hit you! Maybe if there are consequences he might take responsibility for his negligence.

Hello friends :)
The doctor said my injuries are exactly what he'd expect from that sort of crash. Neck and shoulder strains and he gave me a note for an xray in case the pain doesn't clear up. He took lots of notes in case it turns into a long term injury.
I called my insurance provider and they said damage to my car is covered in the event the other driver turns out to be uninsured, and they're going to chase all of that up. So that's good news! Their claims people will look into and decide whether to fix the car or send me a cheque. I hope they fix it, I love that little car, it's such a trooper.
Lastly, my cousin will lend me his car for 3 months from the end of July. So I've only got two weeks on the trains, which is quite doable. I'll use the time to read.
So that's the news :)Everything is looking up.
