I have been congratulating myself on how well the girls have adjusted to their new surroundings. I was expecting quite a bit more fuss & bother but with everyone so fond of the back patio, which thankfully is concrete, I've been getting some full on poo education. The black splats are not unexpected given their new found access to grass, & the occasional bloody offering has cleared up without intervention. Far more concerning are the *rice grains* I am seeing. Several girls have quite an infestation so today it's off to Pet Barn for some Piperazine, which hopefully will do the job. I can only say the lad's yard is now cleared of all insects & bugs, which apparently carry the tape worm. The next doors bantams are also about to be wormed so with any luck we've both caught this quickly.

I wasn’t obsessed with horses, but my mum was. She owned two when she was younger!
