Ribh's D'Coopage

Not a clue what color, or even what breed they are. They are POL so we should know soon. They prefer brown eggs on the farm, but I like my rainbow. I’ll probably get some pics and post in what breed... I’m wrapping meat tomorrow. I’ll have an update on my thread about today soon.

I can't wait to meet them. Looking forward to the pictures.

The operative word is *chaos*. No shower. No washing machine. No toilet. The lad was as fast as he could be but ~ not fun. :(

Back up & running but while we were overseas yesterday there was a frantic phone call for another diamond blade so we are still not all done. All the cuts for 2 rooms are yet to be done. I tell you, it's a process!

And yesterday we spent hours @ Bunnings in the special orders department trying to sort out doors & architraves & it was a nightmare ~ for us & the staff! No~one can read their catalogs! Now if you were regular people who had sensibly built a standard house ~ one with chiprock & paint ~ buying a door is not difficult ~ but we aren't & we didn't. Most of our house is natural wood so primed doors are a no go! And the opening into our bedroom was made to take french doors. *sigh* I tell you! And we wanted some stained glass...I know. It sounds weird but our bedroom is huge. Three walls are nearly all glass looking into the tree canopy. It's a gorgeous room space wise.

We survived ~ battle weary & exhausted but I hope to never have to do this again. Ever!

Sounds just lovely to me.... well not the chaos, no shower, washing machine, and toilet part; but definitely the large bedroom with stained glass, French doors, and looking out on the canopy part of it! Andrew and I went with the pre-paneled kit with just a few modifications for the wood stove and accessible second master for the aging parental unit to avoid some of those complications, but that hasn’t really helped us any in the end. So take the time and remember the beautiful space you will have at the end, once the chaos recess and the toilet reappears!
