Here is my ginger jar without lid. I had forgotten it was willow pattern. The lid was very plain and flat topped. Definitely not as fancy as yours. Still, I love the blue and white and I love the shape. I used to keep loose tea in it when it had a lid.

I really hope you can find a lid for this soon. It's a shame they can't be purchased by the size

I'm a sucker for pretty things. I don't mind paying a little more for something both practical & beautiful.

Would you have any idea how I could store porridge? I buy organic and it's supplied in paper I really am at a loss on preserving it.

It is a lovely versatile edging & doesn't require a stitch count. If you ever want to use it it is simply 1 row sc, 1 row 1/2dc, 1 row dc, I row fretwork, 1 row dc & finish with picot.

I admire you. I can't knit @ all but I rarely watch tv & reading is hard on my eyes @ night so crochet it is!

I store things like rice, flour, oats in the freezer. I use a regular plastic storage container or pop it into a zip lock bag. You just have to make sure it's sealed but it stops the weevils.

QUESTION FOR THE SCIENCE LOT.
Can chickens suffer from asthma?
Luna has always gurgled as she breathes but lately it seems to be a little worse & really loud.
There is no nasal discharge. She is not unwell but her breathing is loud & noisy.
