I hope you used long gloves & full protective gear.I'm loathe to tell you this, but I have bathed a cat and it was a complete mission.
The cat had rolled in badger shite and stank.
I got delegated to do the clean up.

If my memeory serves me it went something like this.I hope you used long gloves & full protective gear.![]()
Well done. I take my hat off to you. I have only once bathed a cat and then only his rear end and it was a case of ‘dunk and run’ for both of us.If my memeory serves me it went something like this.
The others, all female, decided that given Shadrach doesn't like the cat much and the cat doesn't like him much either, there would be no love lost and it wouldn't really matter if the cat never went near him again. I do recall one of those involved mentioning this may be an all round good result given I'm allergic to cats anyway.
It was also acknowledged that despite having no fondness for the creature I would go out of my way to make the experience as painless and as stress free as such a task can be. There didn't seem to be much concern over any possible scaring or disfigurement, the matter being glossed over with well your a man type comments and not all that pretty to start with.
Luckily once captured the cat froze once in my "care" and just made rather pathetic mewing sounds during the bathing.
She came to no harm and neither did I and she did avoid me like the plague for months afterwards. Good result all round I thought.
Yep, I've only ever bathed a cat once also ~ a flea infested rescue. Poor thing was terrified but acquiescent.Well done. I take my hat off to you. I have only once bathed a cat and then only his rear end and it was a case of ‘dunk and run’ for both of us.
Unless they have long hair and then it is up to you to assist in grooming.Spoken like a man who doesn’t regularly handle cats. Anyway, who washes a cat? They are like self cleaning ovens and do it themselves.
You poor poor man.I'm loathe to tell you this, but I have bathed a cat and it was a complete mission.
