And @BY Bob thinks he has roosting problems!
Everybody else was safely in the shed patiently waiting on me coming to say goodnight & shut the door except for these 2!
Desdemona wanted to roost on top of the cage.
Shuri wanted to get in it!
She wandered round & round with that dismal honking sound Wyandottes have perfected gazing forlornly up @ Desdemona smugly barring all hope of her getting into *her* cage herself.
Then she got up on the table & just looked @ me.
Ok. I admit it. I'm a sucker.
I carried Desi to bed & popped Shuri in the cage, where she immediately & happily settled down. Scarily, as she's normally quite leery of me, she squatted so I could pick her up. No wing flapping, just a quick glance to make sure I was taking her where she wanted to go..
In all honesty, while she hasn't been moving around a lot she has been out with the rest of the tribe the past 2 days, & I was fully expecting she would follow the rest of the tribe to bed. Apparently not. She likes her cage. She can see me until I turn the lights out & she gets special treats.
Whoever said chickens were stupid?
