WEDNESDAY WHEREVER.
No chookies this morning. It's as dark as hades out there & the rain is dropping from the sky in bucketloads. The cats are disgusted & I can hear the girls complaining round the side of the house. The cats have taken to sleeping on my next 2 projects now the weather is cooling off.
Question???: Has anyone seen @Aussie-Chookmum recently?

Happy Wednesday friend!
It's a quiet morning here. Cardigan weather.
But the hens and cat have me on my toes.
On a "normal" morning, the hens all migrate from the coop to the run in a group. But for some reason known only to the hens, today's special.
First Blossom couldn't wait until the chooks had eaten and sat down to go outside. So I let her out as unobtrusively as I could. Janet spotted action at the back door and started running circles, which is sign language for "I'm ready to come out now" so I attempted to let the hens out and shepherd them across into the big run. Only Janet agreed. Peggy kept on with her breakfast. Mary kept on watching Peggy. Ivy hadn't even come down from the roost yet. So I went back inside. 10 minutes later I noticed Janet looking across at her friends, so I looked too and saw Peggy tormenting Mary. Right. I provided another chance for the remaining three to go across to the big run. Peggy said ok. Mary said I'm not following her, she's a b**** and Ivy said I'm still in bed.
So now there are two feisty hens in the run and two quiet hens in the big coop.
Ah! I just heard Ivy jump down off the roost, so that's a step in the right direction.
With 30 minutes until I need to be in the car, I hope the two slow pokes are filling their tummies and thinking about freedom.
