It works quite well. It isn't obvious from the picture but the fish in the middle are taller than the outside ones. Christofur can sometimes pick a piece out with his mouth if they are piled a bit bit soon enough he has to paw them out one by one.

I have a similar one but mine are really snarfing the dry food and the shark one worked better for the cans so I have a slightly different design for the dry food.
The little ba*****s, I mean darlings, patiently pull all the kibbles out of the bowl into a heap on the floor and then snarf it up from there.
Sigh.

Thankfully Christofur isn't all that smart. Nor is he patient at all, he wants the food, he wants it now. I can't see him making a pile to snarf.

I think mine are working as a team.
One of them, who rarely eats kibble (prefers a can), stretches out on the floor with his paws just reaching the kibble bowl. He can lie like that for hours slowly removing bits of kibble.
Then one of the others comes by and snarfs up the heap and then barfs it out on my desk. Well to be fair, not always!
