I had a feeling that the temps were glorious too!!

Fall is my favorite time of year and we have gotten 2 fall weekends in August. It has been a real blessing. August is usually the hottest anx driest month of the year for us. In fact I rarely mow more than twice in August. The flock is revelling in the beautiful weather.

This is what I found when I went to check on the girls this evening:
everyone except Lavender was on the top bar.
She was not a happy girl. ​

So I climbed in the coop & after a little maneuvering & a lot of flapping & squawking we had this:

Everyone was happy!​

That's awesome! Does she have issues getting up that high or is this about the pecking order?
