THE GUILTY PARTY.
I have found my crower.
Yep.
Tootsie.
The smallest chook I have.
I'd been out to put down some feed. When Tootsie saw I was heading inside she came hurtling after me & demanded in. She hasn't laid since her broody episode but her comb is reddening up again so I let her in & she promptly headed for her spot behind the sink. As she's a slow layer I left her to it thinking shed be ages but not 5 minutes later there was the most dreadful rucus.
If this is a dominance exhibition, the girl has some serious issues.

Ha'penny is fence hopping again. To lure her home I put out some feed. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 chooks came running but...where was Chavi?
I scoured the yard.
And again.
And again.
No Chavi.
Because she's dark she blends so well.
She's changed her laying spot. I think she's broody again.
She' been a bit of a loner since I lost the other Japs & she hasn't really bonded with Tootsie.
Anyway, here she is in her new spot.

Happy Caturday, Christofur enjoying chin scratches

I want to celebrate Caturday slightly differently today.​

​

There’s an Instagram kitty called Cala, a very vocal ginger cat who was taking the internet by storm, especially when a very talented creator wrote a song called “I Go Meow” and Cala was singing the chorus.​

​

This video made me so happy because it was so cute, and I would watch it often. Well, Cala died recently and I was shocked at how much that upset me. There was a massive outpouring of love for Cala and it’s been affecting me for days.​

​

I decided to harness this emotion and I composed a piece of music in memory of Cala. I’m doing a series of drawings to turn into a video to go with the music. Here’s the first drawing, in memory of Cala for Caturday.​
