Oh, that’s easy here... it’s the heat! All of them panting.. all. day. long....poor things... you can see most of them hanging around the water cooler
A friend if mine lost one of hers the other day.. they think over heated... she was broody and probably didn’t come out often enough to drink and cool off..
We have had a very dry summer and extremely HOT! I’ll put the sprinkler on to wet up their yard.. and dump buckets if water in the run for them to lay in..

I should have guessed that. I'm sorry they have to deal we with the heat. Its hard on them. The weather has turned here and fall has started. It's spectacular here right now. Highs in 70s to low 80s every night in the mid to low 60s. Very nice.

We walked all round the nearby eateries & settled on one called Sage. The food was sooo good we ate there every day & have just found out they were the 2014 State Winner for best family restaurant. We got desert today & they were so impressed we'd chosen them we got it free! Can't recommend them highly enough. Lovely service. Great food!​

What sort of chooks are the "three little darlings"? They do look very huggable

I have had large and wrinkly eggs before. It should be nothing to worry about. I know i wished my leghorns would lay a little smaller egg as they just seemed way too big for those little bodies. The wrinkling is nothing serious in my experience.

They all laid eggs today. But as someone put their foot on Deana's the contents had drained away and there was only shell left. I obviously have to keep encouraging her to take her calcium supplement
