Ribh's D'Coopage

Thanks. I should have figured. Tropical island living is a little different than here.
Well...it is. :hmm My Rocks seem to spend all summer constantly going broody & I don't want chicks ~ not because I don't like them but because... you know ~ roosters. :( This will be most of my flocks 1st summer & I have no idea what I will be dealing with!

@Ribh I was bragging about my rug ;) to my sisters... I said.. “Did yall see the beautiful blanket my chicken friend from Australia made for me?” And one of my sisters laughed at “chicken friend”... I said... I have old friends.. family friends.. church friends.. co-op friends... and now I have chicken friends :D.... from all over the world :love
So, everyone of yall are my “chicken friends”... hope yall don’t mind:hugs

Chicken friend is good. :)

I'm way late today.(1:21 am) Senior bus took us to our usual shopping area. Some guy ran his truck into the electric pole and no electricity for the entire mall. So I walked to the transportation office and then halfway home till a bus was available to take me the rest of the way. Too much exercise for "not a spring chicken." Must have been napping since I got home.

Usually he just goes to town in dry dirt and gets himself sort of buff/tan colored, this mud steaked thing is a new look for him.

Ok, that is a lot of critters for a suburban lot... and I agree the tiger was probably a little too much. And I’m a cat person! There was a “pet” cougar in my grandparents neighborhood when I was a child, and we think the fencing needs of chickens are taxing? Lol! He had a license for it, but it had 6’ of chainlink sloped inward atop 8’ of solid panel fencing. The chainlink was anchored in a 3’ trench filled with concrete. He had stricter fencing requirements that the local zoo. Reason I still remember this? I was fascinated by the idea and thought we should have one too! Apparently they don’t make great apartment pets though (according to my mom at least!)

I did work with a guy who had a Lion growing up on a horse ranch in Mexico... so really it might not be as absurd as it sounds at first.

I'm pretty sure Australian laws would prevent me from owning a tiger.... and Hubby would have a conniption! :lau

We are in the rug club! I can just imagine us all snuggled up in our rugs as we reply to Ribh's thread, :love.

So beautiful, so cuddly! :love:love

We have 10 hens & 2 cats [not my fault there aren't more cats! ;)] & I keep telling the Lord when I get to heaven I want a cheetah. I just can't seem to talk John into one...

We have 3 dogs, 3 Cats and five chickens :D. The cats and the chickens pick on the dogs. The cats and dogs are all rescues of one sort or another.

I'm not going to heaven unless I can have all my pets past and present (and future), but can I be your neighbour Ribh and play with your cheetah? :highfive:
