Ahhhhh I've just realised I've been missing your island views :)
 Unfortunately we lose the dramatic cloud views as we move more into summer & our sunrises are fairly bland. All the drama tends to be to the west of us & we don't have good western views. With luck though we should eventually get those pristine mirror image mornings soon. :)

This morning's excitement was a little more than I wanted or needed. Our neighbours bailed John up because they had a maggie chick fallen out of a nest & flailing around ~ predator bait in anyone's book. They didn't know what to do so John nabbed it & stuck it in one of our bushes out of harms way but while fully feathered still not flying & needing to be fed so I scrounged up our wild~life carer's number & birdie has gone to his new home where he will be looked after until he can fend for himself. No pictures because we rather had our hands full @ the time. :)

Way to go. It makes you feel good inside when help an animal in distress. Well done. I feel good for just knowing you.

Thanks @BY Bob. We've done a few over the years. The availability of a wild life carer varies but if all else fails the WIRE people will usually meet you off a boat. I've done bats, black swans, mutton birds, honeyeaters, snakes...

I'm so glad you got your rug Bob. It's lovely Ribh and so masculine! :D
Your crocheted chooks are just perfect too!

Yesterday was a mainland day: we took my friend in to Brissie airport. Today was a mainland day: Dr; chook food; Bunnings; wool..& nearly 2 hours of cuddling a baby! *sigh* I think I am in love. Such a snuggly buggly. And I made mum very, very happy. Apparently bubs had been windy & hadn't pooped in several days. Worried new mum. I cuddled & burped & winded & just after we left mum was rewarded with what she described as a *mustard explosion*! :lau:lau:lau

And I didn't have to clean that one up!:yesss:

I got to see a friends 9 month old grand daughter today. So cute!

Good timing leaving before the "mustard explosion" Ribh! :lau
