Ribh's D'Coopage

I'm a bit like you in this respect. I'm a show me type rather than I'll read up on it type for things like this. I've been lucky with my vet and the people from the chicken club.
Perhaps I should look round for a local poultry club ~ only that entails meeting strangers... Oh. Gosh. What's a girl to do?:caf

In amongst all the drama my lads showed up & removed my front steps to put in a landing. I'm really happy with it so far.

Funny things often happen around deaths.
Our 2nd Lotus flower opened for Tuppence & our 3rd threw out it's spike the morning she died. I don't know if she liked them but they seem to be honouring her death.

Nice front deck! :clap

I also know about plants honouring death. We had a baby cycad show up the same week as a significant death in the family.

The lads built a beautiful landing. It looks like it should have been there all along.

Funny how the plants knew to try and cheer you up. Maybe someone whispered to them. :D

How are the other hens going @Ribh?

They seem to be doing ok.
I'm not getting eggs though. :(
Could be the heat.
Could be the upset over flock dynamics.
Could be the water.

Lottie on the stump Tuppence liked to perch on for feeding. She's looking good. My Barred Rocks have hit 2 but still laying well when not broody.

Yeah, it does. We're rather impressed. :)

Plants are funny. My dad loved figs & the first thing he did when he moved onto his 50 acres was plant a fig tree. It never flowered, never bore fruit until the year he died. That year mum got a bumper crop. She doesn't eat figs.:lau
