I actually like our current PMI've been reading about your NSW fire chief in an email I got from a friend.
Maybe he could replace the current prime minister (?)

Thanks, Meg. I think my girls enjoy it too. They stand on the logs & gaze hypnotically into the water letting the sea breeze ruffle their feathers.Your view is so amazing, Rib. I could handle waking up to that every day!
Glad to hear that Hinge is seemingly on the mend, Shad. Hopefully Treacle and Cillin figure it out.
Wishing everyone a lovely day.
They are good looking lads, Shad but what's with all the testosterone?Rooster problems today.
Cillin and Treacle have been fighting this afternoon. The good news is they're now roosting together. In the past one has been driven out of the coop. I've had to get in between them a few times this afternoon to break the fighting up. I'm just about to get them off their perches to inspect for damage.

Cillin going into the coop.

Treacle following behind. I was half expecting it to kick off in the coop.

I find it's now easier to upload pictures & media but agree the emojis thing is a total PITA ~ & like you I use emojis.Yall, I am NOT happy with the new site set up... I try not to complain often but the way you have to work with the emojis makes it no fun at all... I love to use emojis but won’t anymore as it is a giant PITA!!!!! The other way was just so much better and easier to use.. also, posting pics is awful as well... I don’t understand why they actually made it more complicated!!?
Ah, I see. It's just I've been trying to follow the fire fighting there. The Park Wardens here will tell people to clear their land. One of the problems is so many of the old farmhouses have a substantial acreage, but have been deserted for years. The owners are either dead, untraceable, or the property is in the hands of lawyers. There isn't a lot of transparency regarding land ownership here. A hardwood tree called Holm Oak (Some of my lamps are made of it) grows like weeds here, so what were once fields have become young woodland over the past 50 years.I actually like our current PMOur media doesn't though. Our media doesn't like anyone religious or @ all conservative & our PM is both. Our fires are the result of poor land management not climate change. This has been building for decades. My man was ranting about land management 3 decades ago when he was responsible for putting in fire trails around our shire. Giving firefighters access, back burning & clearing are essential if you want to prevent the sort of fire storms we are presently seeing ~ only now it's too late & we're dealing with the end result of not doing those things. And that's the direct result of all the bleeding hearts who stopped it being done & now want to blame their stupidity elsewhere.
Ok. Stopping now.

The problem is me basically. They are good looking lads, Shad but what's with all the testosterone?
When you have a lot of young eculaypt growing close together with the high oil content these trees have it is a recipe for disaster. You must selectively cull. This avoids all the trees catching fire @ once , shooting sparks into the crown where the fire can then race through the treetops while also racing through undergrowth.Ah, I see. I guess more hens isn't a solution if housing is a problem? No old bricks & timber lying round for a new structure? The problem is me basically.Ideally, Treacle should move out. He could I think attract two hens to follow him. Cillin would be fine with this I think. I can't afford to build a coop atm.
I have had fathers and sons live together and come to a working arrangement. Punch and Mag in Tribe 2 is a current example.
It's been quite warm for late Jan and Feb here and I think the chickens, and quite a few plants think it's spring. The hens wake up in the morning and toss a coin for who goes broody next.
Also, Cillin is pretty hard on Treacle in some ways.
A further problem is the hens like them both.
It's chicken life. Not a lot I can do.
Not sure who this is addressed to but I am on an island in Queensland Australia; Shadrach is in Catalonia, Spain, but there are a number of other Aussies read & comment here, some of whom are in the fire regions, & the inevitable AmericansYou said January’s heat. Where are you from? Also, I have a little henbird named Nugget, too!
