Ribh's D'Coopage

I've been having conversations with chickens for many years now. One has to be a bit careful acknowledging this as it seems it isn't considered normal in some social circles.

It‘s perfectly normal here. In fact we would be more worried about you if you didn’t!

It's when you are having a human conversation and mid way you make an interjection like ' I was talking to Treacle about this very issue yesterday' and people realise at some point that Treacle is in fact a rooster that things can get a bit awkward.:D

Now that is true. And have been caught doing that very thing as well. :gig

I love converting regular people into chicken people. :D

Every morning my manager as a call with his direct reports. The first thing he does is go around the entire team and ask you what the highlight of your weekend was. I knew todays was going to get strange because I was going to say the new girls going to bed where they are supposed to in the big coop.

So the whole call stops and everyone wants me to explain how you integrate chickens into 1 flock. Afterwards I get emails asking more chicken questions, along with requests for videos to show their children.

I should have told everyone last week about bathing Lilly. Opportunity lost. :gig

For what it is worth, the guys constructing the Chicken Palace (who had no experience of chickens before coming to help me) talk to the chickens all day long. Even when I am not there with them but am doing my day job from home, I can hear them all chattering away to each other.
When my lads were were around the chicken pen they complained about how chatty my chickens were ~ especially as they commented on everything & not always complimentary.

Now that is true. And have been caught doing that very thing as well. :gig
My youngest son complains about me talking to the animals. He considers it not quite sane & something normal people don't do! :lau Perhaps it's as well. You should hear some of the things the chickens say about him!:gig

Tonight we were 13 on the top roost.
Aoife had to be hoyed out of a nesting box ~ again  !

One of the campines had missed out of a top spot so @ least she had company. It has been a cold wet old day so all interfamial rows are on temporary hold.
