I've had roosters. Never again. It's like inviting the mafia to stay. Besides, it would make both lots of neighbours very unhappy...

Last night I was very tired from the big week, which is going to consume the weekend too, but at least I can work at home and let the chooks out. Next week also has late nights, but it has late starts too so it won't be as gruelling, although there are two big deadlines which constitute a major turning point in life.

Apart from my professional commitments, life is rosy. The cat purrs at my feet, the chickens are safe in their coop

I've got a week off coming up! And I'll be spending most of it doing absolutely nothing. This thought keeps me strong.
