I’m starting to think that I might have to get THREE Faverolles... y’know, just to even out the chicken maths... Poor Charlie was sitting around by herself a fair bit today, I wonder if she gets lonely.

I think you should. Every chicken deserves a best friend to hang out with all the time.

Besides who doesn't want more chickens!

Now I see how much fun everyone had trying to get me to let Maleficent hatch more chickens. Between you and @MaryJanet this is fun!

The alarm call has been going off all morning. My lads, who really have nooo idea, tossed their crab shells over the chook pen fence. Well & good. The girls have enjoyed cleaning up the scraps but in this heat it is starting to really pong The stench has brought a small monitor lizard calling. The girls went ballistic! *sigh* OK, so I've scared him off for now but my fence hoppers were out seeing what I'd been up to this morning & that is not good.
