Ribh's D'Coopage

I can't say I've noticed, Shad...but then I tend to call it as I see it which tends not to make me friends.:lau
Who needs friends when one has chickens!:D
The more I watch them the more civilized they seem to be.

Anything fun planned in the near future? I love seeing all the pictures of everyone's birds :love
We have to take care of the pig this weekend since we didn't do it last weekend.
Does someone in your family kill the pig or does someone from outside come and do it?

Ha ha! I am not feeling like my Princesses are very civilized today. I discovered they have been stashing eggs under the floor of the still-under-construction Chicken Palace. Figuring out how they got there was quite a production involving lying down in the run to see under the structure. I just thought they were laying less because of the winter but that is not the case. Now they have been blocked off from getting under the floor I was excited to get a full set of eggs. But no, they must be hiding them somewhere else. It is too dark now to search so that is my task for the morning - hunt the nest!

Just for keeping Ribh. I'm rather fond of them. They were a surprise I want from one of the main house members. I don't know what they were thinking if they were thinking at all. They got a few days attention and then left to me to cope with.:hmm
They also have an interesting social life. There used to be more of them.

Do the ducks visit your house too?

It's a bit dark ~ roosting after all~ but lots of lovely settling noises apart from Hepzibah stomping all over Suyin to change her roosting spot.

Wow, there were a couple of vicious pecks in there! As my girls don’t roost, they just pile in together, Charlie usually taking up the full nesting box. Lucy will still give her a peck now and again so she doesn’t forget who’s boss. 😁

I hate to say this of myself but I don't bother much with being diplomatic. I'm not great with people.

Oh really Shad? I hadn't noticed...:lau

But seriously, I always know where I stand with you. It's a very good thing for someone who takes things at face value like me. Keep it up! :thumbsup

I was outside being nibbled to death by mozzies last night attempting to catch my girls' roosting antics for posterity (and you lovely people). In the process I was able to get a couple of really nice portraits which I'd like to share.

Now I'm off to try and get a nice shot of Tsuki especially for ByBob
