Ribh's D'Coopage

Fudge sun bathing with Cillin on guard. The rest of the tribe are all under the blackthorn bush which is proving to be a favourite shelter spot now.

Looking good, Shad. Thems some fine looking birds you have hanging out there! :)

My Rocks are troupers.
Despite molting they are still laying consistently!
And I have 1 Aracauna on the lay.
Everybody else is freeloading.
I have a bunch of teenagers going berko because...why not? 🙄

Interesting you should suggest this as the man brought it up out of the blue this morning. He thinks 13 birds on that top roost is insane! Too true! Now his brains ticking the problem over I may eventually see a result. My Campines are more than capable of flying up too. :)

It’s a good thing you have solid roosts and mostly light girls! I still need to beef up the roosts in Mr Marans tractor. I had no idea how heavy five or six standard sized birds could be when I built it!

Hi folks, I'm working on a project with Michelle and need test data badly. If you have time I would ask that each person out here create 5 users (use a name that is kindof unique to you not something like test1... )(just to pick on sour, maybe something like Sour1, sour2, etc.) and for each user create 5 breeds, please use different breed categories and don't chose the first or second breed in the list mix it up. The main form is here and there's a link after you hit submit that will take you to the breed form. I suggest copying your made up user name for the follow ons. Sorry for the painful process but that's what we get when we use free stuff.

When you fill out the first form, please select different countries/locations and change up the data. I really hope some of you will make mistakes that cause errors so I can close up those gaps.

thank you in advance. I've asked others to help me generate test data and gotten little response. With my work schedule, I have to work things when I can.
All done. I tried to break it. Good luck.

Let's here it for the Rocks! They.....well......well, they ROCK!

So, I thought I would share some pictures of our dangerous wildlife... at least if you ask my somewhat hysterical chickens that have been alarming since 4am.

They grow up so quickly! Daddy goose (front left) almost attacked our truck yesterday hissing and snaking his neck like crazy while mama goose herded the littles down the bank and into the pond.

And here they were stalking a helpless doe too immersed in eating my grass to notice them, until I opened the trailer window for the picture.

They no longer flee frantically when they spot me spying on them, but retreated gracefully, setting off the 5th round of Chicken alarms in three hours! Of course, to not alarm all this wildlife with my intrusions, I have left the chickens in their tractors while having coffee and seething about the incessant alarming at obnoxious hours. Well, I left the blue bucket of happiness next to the meat tractor with the littles in it for convenience and early (haha!) feeding this morning... and these ones are “flyers”; or at least they think they are! They are launching themselves at the bucket and flying to the height the 2’ high meat tractor will allow them and smack into the hardware cloth 🙄 If they stay this food motivated they won’t keep “flying” much longer!
