It's from Game of Thrones ~ a very bloodthirsty & epic fantasy tale based on Medieval Europe. Sansa becomes Queen of the North. I think. I stopped paying attention when the sex got waaay too steamy for me.

Big bands! That feeling of blasting off - I've only ever seen two big bands but both times were jaw-dropping!

Harry Connick put out a couple of fabulous big band albums. Just incredible music. Love it.

Cillin had way more space at his disposal than Jabber did. That's always going to make a difference.

I definitely agree with that. Cillin also had other roosters around to learn from and model after. Not to mention the roosterist himself @Shadrach Very different stories with very different endings.

Playing jazz is the only discipline that fires all the neurons in the brain @ once. Nothing else does that. Not pure math. Not physics. Not chemistry. None of the arts. I can see why. It uses all the brain @ once ~ & then some! I'm no good @ it but I really appreciate it.

I'm feeling quite defeated this morning.
I've been looking for some nice table runners ~ because we sit things like plants on our tables & runners give the wood a little protection.

I finally found one I really like & it was a you tube video so...
The instructor has quite a thick accent & goes really fast but it's you tube so I was stopping & starting & being really careful with my counting because it's lace & it's all about counting.
Most tutorials give you a stitch count @ the end of every row so it is really easy to check if you are on track or not & where you've gone wrong, if you do.
This lady doesn't.
I got to here last night & I am out by 2 whole repeats!!!
There is no way to fix it without undoing the whole thing. And I still won't know where I've gone wrong.

It's not that I mind unpicking & redoing. I do a lot of that. I'm a dork. Until I can *see* the pattern I'm pretty useless. I won't make the same mistake because now I know what the pattern should look like. I'm just cross that I could have figured it out a whole lot earlier if the instructor had given a stitch count. *sigh*

Yes. I was sorry about Jabber but I understand why. It's one reason I won't have a rooster again ~ though the man wants me to breed Campines. Me, not him. He's been told, unwanted cockerels are his to deal with!
He's planning on acquiring more land specifically for the farming activities we are running out of space for. I'm not sure I want to go that route but we shall see. After all, I do have Shad's example as a roosterist to model myself after.

Things like that are maddening to find on a deadline and my boss never missing anything like that. He will notice it everytime. Frankly I spend too much time on things like that and not enough on what matters.
