Screened in gazebo. The mosquitos were quite vicious this year. How do you do with that creek running through your property @CrazyChookChookLady ? I don't remember them being an issue when I was there.

Nope we haven't had any mosquito problems since we can free range again. No ticks on the dogs and cats either! I do use a flea/tick preventative, but last summer I still was pulling ticks off the cats, I haven't seen one tick this year.

They really are - I thought maybe I was being overly sensitive this year - but I think objectively there are more of them and they come out in the day not just the evening. Hate them!

My chickens wiped out the ticks in my yard. The dogs and cats used to get them all the time. I haven't seen one in years.

But I am still getting mosquitoes. Interesting. !

Well, they are always bad! But for some reason this year has just been extremely bad! And without any real explanation cuz rain is always a constant so it not because of more rain than usual or anything like that!

If the creek is moving water then the mosquitoes won't breed there which helps.

Step 4: (optional) don’t tell DH you’ve been leaving the door open and/or Text DH pics at work to let him see the trailer/house is being invaded by feathered fiends (Cass is being Naughty lately!)

as you can see... still not in the house but progress is being made and that’s a lot to do with how absent I’ve been lately! Sorry everyone... miss you all, and hope to be back online more soon with good news! Second sort is scheduled for the end of September hopefully.

oh, and Please excuse the mess, things have been crazy here lately and I was sorting some stuff, just taking a break from the heat when my curious friends decided to investigate the big coop
