I'm so glad Jaffar is doing better. And I'm sorry about your Ameraucana.
I do everything I know how to give my girls a good life & it's so dispiriting when this stuff happens despite my best efforts. Unfortunately I have a *fixer* personality. I see something wrong & my 1st instinct is to fix it. That's not always possible & when it comes to chickens I'm so ignorant it's scary.

Is there any chance she has gotten into something poisonous? You have a lot of interesting plants on your property.

Your poor girl and you! I hope that they can figure out what is wrong with her...I hate it when my animals are sick and I don't know what's going on!

Me too. Her attitude is good so it's not as bad as it might be. When they fluff up & their head & tail goes down is when I know we're in serious trouble.

Always possible Bob. But then I'm told eucalyptus is poisonous to chooks & we are knee deep in eucalyptus. The girls forage in eucalyptus litter all the time. And there's cane toads. That's always a possibility too here. But as I said, she is bright~eyed & alert, not acting sick @ all. It's weird.

Thanks, Sue. Yep, I'm a sucker for a pretty bird. They give me great pleasure.

It never seems to last long round here. And it is so pleasant when things are going well & all the girls are happy.

On a slightly different note I have been chatting with my breeder again about acquiring some more Golden Campines.
So far she only has 3 chicks ~ & they could all be male!
I was sorta hoping they'd be available for my birthday this month but that's looking dubious.

We have put aside the money for these girls so I don't want it burning a hole in my pocket for too long!
