Ribh's D'Coopage

Aurora must have super sensors. It is rare that I can even get a touch without her jumping away. It is like she has an early warning system that tells her before I even get close.
I have to watch for my moments. Usually when they are head down, bum up in a food bowl & so involved in their food they are unwary. I got Morrigu the other day. She flipped out so much it will be a long time before I get another chance @ her.

They are very lovely. Mrs BY Bob will eat eggs like this but we also do not have any egg cups. I'm feeling an idea for a Christmas present coming on. 🤔
Happy to help. ☺ Etsy has some really lovey ones but the cost of shipping from the States is more than double what the egg cups are worth so I refrained. :gig

We had a massive thunderstorm go through yesterday afternoon right on feed time. I rushed out & shoved food in the tubs for the girls but I didn't sit with them as I usually do. I didn't want anyone getting soaked trying to hang round me & it was already so dark I locked the gate as I left. I hate not doing that last check but it really wasn't safe out & I can see everyone is up & stuffing themselves this morning, except Alpia, who will have roosted in a nesting box & if there are eggs to be had will be covering a bunch of them this morning. 🙄 I'm about to go out & move her. She is so sweet about it I always feel terrible for her.

They were back @ it this morning. 🙄
To add disgrace to their sins Wrold had tossed out the egg that was in the nest & ate it. The evidence was all over her beak!!!😒 And the nearly empty shell was just outside the nesting box. I'm hoping it was an accidental break due to an in nest squabble & not something more deliberate.

They are both now in the small coop cooling their nether regions!

It always upsets me when I find an egg that's been eaten, but so far I think it's been accidental and then I guess they just can't let it go to waste...:idunno
