Ribh's D'Coopage

And this marks the point at which I am officially giving up any attempt to understand chicken breeds. I thought 'color' was part of how to tell them apart! :th :th
I thought so too. I guess nowadays all breeds are coming in all colors.

I realize this makes me sound like an old fuddy duddy (and maybe I am :old), but I feel like that makes no sense to me! I feel like I have mastered White Leghorn, Buff, and indeed Lavender, Orpington and of course Maggie is a Rhode Island Red.
Please tell me there isn't a Lavender Rhode Island Red. Or would that be called a Rhode Island Lavender?
:idunno
At this point they are making all breeds in lavender, lol.

Wow. I really do have a lot to learn. I think Maggie is truly a RIR - she is a deep dark mahogany color (which I love) and has a black tail. She is a 'substantial' chicken but not massive. Mostly I adore her because she is such a character - but I do think she is very pretty too.
She is for sure a RIR displays all the beauty that an RIR has. I just love their color and the black tail really brings it home. 🥰

I had a wonderful time, I finally had a reason to laugh for awhile and boy did we laugh. After we ate, we played the family games with the kids 😊. We got Shark Bite, Pop up Pirate and Ants in Pants. Katrina was fine as long as the shark didn't eat her, she loved the pirate game and ants were flying all over the place 😂😂. I so miss my time with her, but we will do FaceTime again soon.
I fondly remember ants in the pants from my childhood. I'm so glad you had that time with them. :hugs :hugs

Beautiful birds. Man I love that leghorn shape! :love:love

"Does my butt look big in this photo?"

....maybe I'm feeding Tsuki too much? 😜

Maybe, I should stop by at @BY Bob's place to see for myself his wonderful Fluffy
Butt coop! I cant take birds on my airplane legally (I wish I could)
Come on by. We would love to have you visit.
