It doesn't look like what Pepper dropped in September 2019, around POL, which I was told was probably intestinal lining. Hers looked more red, like little bits of sun dried tomato or meat. (sorry for the visual)

Thanks, ACM. My other thought was cecal poop & egg yolk. She seems ok in herself apart from dropping the odd thin shelled egg off the roost. In between her eggs are normal.

It did look runny and dark like cecal poop. Plus it had that eggy look too. I think you may be right Ribh. But I'm no expert of course.

Did you post it on the emergency threads?

Not yet. I've been babysitting on the mainland & running chicken chores since I've been home. I'm exhausted & trying to balance what is basically 2 flocks in pretty awful weather. We haven't had a really dry day in weeks ~ which is good for the garden & the dams, but hard on my chookies. Still something is better than nothing, right? :)

My big girls leading the way home as the rain closed in again.
They are so funny.

They head right back where they belong as soon as I appear but they are also chatty about it & basically keeping me company ~ because, silly woman, where is your flock?!

Gloriana.
Her colour & lacing are striking & she has a really sweet nature to boot. Her sister, Portia, is also a really sweet, calm bird.

I haven't had a bad Wyandotte yet. They are a lovely breed.

Desdemona's comb & face are starting to colour up nicely.

Better than what we were having last January! 🔥

Still I hope you get a bit of sunshine soon. :fl

They are gorgeous.

I wonder if I can get a couple of Gold Laced Wyandottes when the time comes? 🤔
