Good morning everyone

Just got back and he looked at the x-rays and said he sees arthritis in my knee and hip, but not much. He said we will revisit it in 3 weeks when I go back. I had Bob take a picture after it was unwrapped.

You'll have people asking you why you tried to commit suicide if they see that!
I hope that doesn't itch too much. The stiches I had in my ankle when I broke my leg drove me mad with the itching for a couple of days.

Thanks Rene. I don't think there was terribly much wrong though for a while there I had visions of lugging 2 chickens down to the vet. I think I need to keep a bit of an eye on the feathers around her eyes.

When I let them out this morning Olivia came right over to me. I think she had visions of another peaceful day in the Big Coop with me! She seems to have lost all fear of me. Amazing how a little nursing [even my inept sort of nursing] bonds the chickens to me.

I'm glad that she's doing better! I must have missed that you have something else going on with one of your other girls. I will look back and read ahead so you don't have to share about it too many times!

So cooling... Ahhhh

It was pretty cool ...though it didn't last very long, we have very little left in our yard now!

It looks very pretty but I really don't like the real thing. All yours. I like to be quite a bit warmer than that!

It's fun to enjoy once in a while...every couple of years or so...or more...

Vitamin A & D deficiency. Supplements required. Will probably fix the red bum issue too.

All good Bob. It was a much better result than I was hoping for though I did throw your name round with impunity on the antibiotics issue. The vet actually didn't have an issue. She understands that over here sometimes you have to make that call.

I don't have a vet for my chickens, so it's the same here...you just have to make the call!

Olivia was back with me for a bit this morning so I could check how she was doing.

When she tried to get between me & my coffee & dip her beak she found herself on a one way trip back to the run!

It's looking really good Sue...not a whole lot of bruising as far as I can tell from the picture! I'm glad there doesn't appear to be any damage in your knee and hip...that's a can of worms you don't want to deal with!

Josh and Scooby met for the first time last night. No one hissed, growled, or raised fur. Josh kept making this cute little trill at Scoobs. ❤
