I ordered the Barred Rock chicks anyways.
Need to think hard about a new pet prospect.

Yesterday was a wet mainland day so both lots of girls were coop bound all day. No~one was @ all happy about it so this morning I let everyone out 1st thing when I took the Littlies breakfast. No~one was interested in breakfast. Olivia was @ the door waiting for it to open & hopped right past me; I can see issues happening with this lot. Everyone else followed suit but they didn't step sedately through the door, no sireee! They flew out! I had 7 birds zipping & flipping past me. Regan crashed into the wire of the big coop & there were a couple of other near misses. Ok, so nice to see everyone so appreciative. The big girls simply ran ~ but they were interested in breakfast & cleaned up the small girls with no compunction whatsoever!

We stopped in to see my youngest grandchild & hand over belated Christmas presents. The super soft bunny was an instant hit ~ yes I know it's not a chicken but I couldn't get a chicken.
