No, I was babysitting on the mainland but my son threw a spanner in the works & asked if I could do the evening as well. As I'd expected to be home then I hadn't organised chooks or cats so had to come home & organise all that then head back over. I'm pretty stuffed today. The water is so calm! I'm sorry it's raining, I hope it's not spoiling anything fun you had planned!
Maybe today. Depends a bit what the man has planned.I hope you get a chance to kick back and enjoy your chooks soon.![]()
Well...I texted the lady with the Vorwerks yesterday as the man was getting antsy thinking he wasn't going to get his birds.Plenty of Vorwerks but no Aracaunas. I know they are difficult to breed so I can't say I'm too surprised. She has a couple of Japs & a Belgian, which I'm interested in, so she is holding them till next week for us. I'm thinking 3 Vorwerks as I need some more standard layers if some of the Big Girls are about to stop laying. That should be it for a while unless my Campine breeder suddenly comes good.

I'm expecting so as the birds are coming from the same place as the last lot.the integration is another good one

She must handle them very gently.I'm expecting so as the birds are coming from the same place as the last lot.
I'm starting to wonder how much influence a keeper has on the way a flock functions ~ then I think of @BY Bob & have to reconsider as he's a terrific keeper & his girls still go ballistic @ times.
There is a huge difference in personality between the birds from the 2 keepers I've used & the hatchery birds. Each of the 3 has similarities & differences amongst themselves & it is quite noticeable. My Littlies all have the sweetest dispositions & it can't all be put down to age or breed. Desdemona has always been able to be handled & is super sweet ~ but then all that lot are sweet tempered. I have been really impressed ~ which is why I'm prepared to use this breeder again.
That's probably right. She does seem to handle them very gently from what I've seen. She must handle them very gently.
Hello, Bloss my sweetie. Looking cool & out of the heat.
