My mother pretty much believed that school vacations were for home/yard renovations. She would always plan big projects for when we had school breaks so we would be around to help, of course no project ever took the allotted time.

They never do! We didn't set an allotted time on our current project! I was just being unrealistically hopeful & I knew it...lol

The ground is absolutely sodden ~ & slimy. Today's job will be throwing a ton of mulch everywhere & trying to get things a tad drier & less smelly.

Lovely to see! Our puddles on the paving have dried up though parts of the grass are still very squelchy. I think the girls are much happier being able to poke around the garden instead of huddling under tables.

Hubby saw the picture of Link that ByBob posted and said
"That's the type of chicken I want!" Basically he wants Red Jungle Fowl.

So, what is Link's breed heritage?
I think hubby will be disappointed that we can't get a hen with this colouring. I wouldn't mind having a hen with this colouring!
