At some point they broke out of captivity & rejoined their tribe.
I rounded Gloriana up again so I could keep an eye on her poops. They were still pretty watery last night but with some solid matter & no longer the bloody brown mess they were. Mausie, who wasn't sick, was allowed to stay with her tribe. If Gloriana is still improving & brighter than she was I'll let her do the same this morning.​

I have been involved in this blue bird project for over 30 years. I can't tell you how many blue bird families have hatched at my house and at my parents house. Not to mention the numerous other places I have gotten boxes placed.

20 years ago it was all out warfare with the sparrows. Then I discovered this. By putting a second box next to my blue bird box, 6 feet away and 1 foot lower, the sparrows would use the lower box and leave the higher box for the blue birds.

Here is one of my set ups

The sparrows have a nest in the one on the left and the blue birds have a nest in the one on the right. If you look close in this picture you can see a white line in the opening of the box. Mrs Blue Bird was watching me as I took this.

I just couldn't get enough light in the photo to show her face. This box is used at this time every year. They will hatch a second time most years. It is a very popular location apparently.

What a lovely thing to have been involved in. They are so pretty!

I know I've written this before, but you're getting some lovely pictures Ribh.
Maybe you should take up photography in a more serious manner.
