Ribh's D'Coopage

I love seeing everyone's puddems. It is such an odd combination though, cats & chickens. 😄
Actually I think not. There are many similar personality traits between chickens and cats. Many of the tricks I have used to tame cats over the years have worked with chickens.

First and foremost it is up to the individual as whether they want to spend time with you or not.

Spend time with humans......

Not like being touched by humans......

Hmmmmm. I can't find a cat of mine which was like that!

In any case you can earn the trust of either be they leghorn, campine, orpington, maine coon or domestic shorthair. But they make you earn it.

Olivia & I need to come to an agreement.
I can tolerate her hopping on my shoulder, mucky feet & all. After all, I'm going inside for a shower once I've locked up.
I don't mind if she wants to try grooming me. If she finds anything live in my hair, good luck to her!
But there are limits. Investigating my ear lug is not on. It's just not. 🙄
She really, really wanted to roost with me last night. When I went to gently put her back with Ceres & Co she dug in & hunkered down.
She is such a sweetie.

Such a wonderful lovely companion. You are blessed. 🥰

At least Olivia weighs less than this one! She is getting big!

I have one really angry little feather duster.
Why are they going broody on me in winter?
I had the Wyandottes all summer & this is the 2nd bantam in a matter of days!

As we have said, it is the ultimate compliment to the environment which you provide them. It is safe with plenty of food and water. The perfect place to raise children. Well done! :thumbsup
