Damn that snake.
I will keep her in my prayers for a good outcomeVery much so!I'm doing the best I can for her & the rest is up to her.
Oh wow! That poor girl!
Thanks for the heads up. I will watch out for it. The good news is that the ride home was uneventful.Oh poor baby! I hope she gets better soon.
I have a cat that is so terrified of going in the car that he has diarrhea every time he goes to the vet.
I had to stop using the fancy cat carrier and use disposable cardboard ones and take a spare so he can come home in a clean one.
Now they give me a dose of gabapentin to give him on the morning of a vet visit and he is so chill in the carrier it is amazing.
It sounds like maybe she has an upset tummy (which of course antibiotics will likely exacerbate) but keep an eye open for the idea that her hatred of the carrier and diarrhea are not independent of each other.
Her activity level has already picked up and her nose is cold and wet again. She is looking better already. Thanks for asking.Hello Bobhow is Eowyn doing today?
That's a good sign that she was yelling at you. Is she eating well?Koffee Klatch Wednesday Wherever.View attachment 2709947
Coffee with Gloriana this morning. She was peeved with me. Her breakfast was late! She was honking for me before I got downstairs.
That is not good looking stuff. I suppose that could certainly be a consequence of being squeezed too hard as well. I'm sorry.I got her to the vet @ the 1st possible opportunity, which was yesterday so probably a bit soon to tell how she is doing. Her overnight poop has more solid matter than it has done & she was awake & up & looking for me this morning ~ all positives. She's eaten & drunk, also good.
The bad news...I have been looking @ pictures of chicken poop for days trying to work out what is going on with her. My best guess was kidneys. Unfortunately that was also the vet's diagnosis. All I can do is try.
I am a slow learner but I did guess via those context clues.Yes, the dump. Now there's a colloquialism I didn't expect to have trouble with!

OR....... you are getting better at this. I believe that I am right. Thanks, Sue. At least the vet is reassuring in the sense I have been doing everything right to treat her so far. What is actually scary is how impressed the vet was with how I had been treating her. She must see a lot of totally clueless people.
It seems so. I'm surprised but I can't think of anything else as she's not actually sick ~ as in not a disease. And the vet thought there might have been spinal damage, liver damage &/or neurological damage. She was surprised that Gloriana is still with us given what happened. She is a lot of work just now but she's a tough one & is fighting hard. She knows I'm in her corner.Oh wow! That poor girl!
Okay, so this happened a little while back... she is still feeling the affects of this?
