I'm sorry to hear this, Butterscotch. It's so worrying when an animal gets ill. I hope the vet finds nothing major wrong with him & it's good news this morning!Again we are at the vets till all hours tonight. My poor dog was really flat today and he had a temp tonight. We ran him down to the specialist animal hospital, poor boy is super anxious and hates it here. They have said he has a whole lot of things that could be happening, they also said he could have a heart murmur. Very common on Great Danes because of their large size.
Thank you. I only have 2 left of my original girls. The flock is very different now.Very purdy
Much as I love Phyllis Hattie has my heart.I chose that one for you.![]()
It is beautiful which I have learned means cold. But it is beautiful all the same. It's a cold old sunrise this morning. The lads arrived for tea last night [& yes I now have another pile of stuff that doesn't belong to us!View attachment 2761117] & left early this morning to drop their net on the top of the tide. I had hopes of coming downstairs to a warm house & cheerily blazing fire but nope. Not this morning. They must have left pretty much as soon as they got up. I don't envy them. Their boat was banging about in the mangroves last night & though the wind dropped out early this morning it's picking up again now. My girls will be looking for any ray of sunshine they can find.
I know. She is really the sweetest of my hens. She has lived up to her Orpington description.Much as I love Phyllis Hattie has my heart. She is just terribly sweet & I love her colour.
It's definitely cold. It's supposed to be around 19C ~ which shouldn't be too bad, but the wind chill factor means it is just plain nasty out.It is beautiful which I have learned means cold. But it is beautiful all the same.![]()

Orpingtons were never on my want list [our climate is wrong for them too] but every time I see Hattie I think I'm wrong.I know. She is really the sweetest of my hens. She has lived up to her Orpington description.
