Oeps , I made a tiny mistake.

Explanations/Translations:
The saying in Dutch actually is: Iemand blij maken met een dooie mus.
= Making someone happy with a dead sparrow.
Mus = sparrow,
Muis = mouse.
Both are common pray for cats. And it doesn’t affect the meaning either.

The actual meaning of the saying is easy to guess: to promise someone something good, which will ultimately prove to be worthless'.

My naughty littles escaped their pen.

I found them gallivanting on the lawn.

All very well until a hawk spotted them.

And these 2 are pretty much fully integrated.
They are hanging around the periphery of the bigger girls & finding their way about the yard. They appear to be loving the yard now they are over their initial fright.​
