Richard- Frizzle?

This is Richard. I know he is a Polish roo, but is this what a frizzled Polish roo looks like? I have frizzle cochins and frizzle Polish hens, his frizzle just doesn't seem that frizzle-y. Thoughts?

Usually Polish have feathers that lay pretty tight against the skin, so I think he is a frizzle. Either that or he had a run in with a pretty strong hair dryer.

No, that's not it. I'm not sure why but it must be something to do with genetics. Perhaps @NatJ will know.

Sorry, frizzles aren't my thing. So I haven't learned anything about what makes them look more or less frizzle-y.

How old is he?

I agree, he isn't as frizzled as I would usually expect, but perhaps he is still feathering out properly?

If you tell me his age I will try and find a cockerel photo of mine at the same age.
