We have a teen rooster whos been attempting to mount our older hen who isn’t having it! She fought him the other day and attacked him pretty badly before we broke it up.
She’s completely fine but he is now closing his right eye constantly/most of the day and parts of his crown are turning black and other exposed areas. The upper part of the crown was ripped and ended up falling off.
We used hydro peroxide and neosporin for the wound.

some of my family worried it was fowl pox and we didn’t notice before the fight but I’m pretty positive these are just battle wounds.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Looks like he probably just got beat up a little hard by the hen, the black bits on his comb and wattles look like scabs/dried blood to me and they should heal with time. Hopefully someone else can comment on the eye part!
