So sorry for you loss

I lost my first two roosters the same night. I know why, my dog attacked them. My fiance's dog. The dog nipped at me a few times and my fiance didn't care. It seems the neighbor may have let him off the chain or the dog knew how to work the chain lose on its own and the dog killed all my chickens. Two days later though, I found 3 female survivers and a duck survivor. I had 5 white ducks before this night. I had like 12-15 hens, of my first hens too. The two roosters both died in protecting my/their hens. We were so proud of them. We were gone when it happened. Dead bodies found everywhere, even the neighbors yard. It was a mess. feathers everywhere. I cried so hard. Esp that Brownie Boy, my RIR rooster, was dead and I seen him with a torn neck, not even moving. None of them moved when we say them. Even on the side of the road, some dead birds and a duck or two. My fiance pulled a gun on that dog either that night or by the next night. Now thtat dog is in doggy hell.
