*RIP Rose and Jack!*

Im so sad. I had my first fatality today.

I lost two bantams I raised from chicks.

Jack was a Silver Duckwing bantam and Rose was a BB Red Bantam. They were great chickens.

Please pray I can be at peace with what happened and that Jill their remaining flock member will be accepted in with my other two bantams....:

So sorry for your loss. Sounds like it could be racoons. Could a coon have reached through wire to get to them. We had one get through a gap in the door that was less than 1/2 inch. It pushed its way in,killed a hen and pushed its way out. DH saw it coming out and shot it.

Thats terrible and I think it was probably a raccoons. Try covering everything in half inch hardware cloth.

Thanks everyone for the tips on it being a coon. If its a coon will it come back to finish off all of my chickens??

coons will keep coming back as long as they can get at your birds. What kind of coop setup do you have?
