And yes, I can see the difference in the color of the chickens.

I wish I had a decent camera. I don't take very good pictures.

If I can get any, I will take pics of the new babies when they arrive.

thanks for the info on the RIR tapes Chris. I also liked the pics of the RC and SC roosters. That answered my question if there was ever any positive benefit in crossing the two.

OOoooo. I have one chick out and another zipping. The one who hatched first was about 10 minutes from pip to hatch, so I am taking this as a good omen.

These are the Taters eggs that went through the power outage.

Two are out, and these little babies are SO dark red.

Katy, I miss my RIR's too. So glad Tater has some of them so I can see them. They are really pretty. I never had a mean Roo either.

I would call that a timely end LOL. Yes you See a huge difference in the color of the chicks. Chicks are a gorgeous Cherry red.
