RIR Breed Thread

I have 2 RIRs, and I love em! One's my egg layer (so far) and is very docile. the other one is super smart and has a great temperment. You gotta love RIRs! (Great pictures guys, btw!)

ESCAPE! ESCAPE!!

When I came in this morning three of the babies had flown the coop. As it were. They had gotten out of their box and were sadly walking around it peeping and wondering where all their friends had gone, and pooping all over.

I do believe you are RIGHT--Kathyinmo--these are defective chicks! :lol:But darn, I have gotten all attached to them!

The chicks and I are stuck here in all this stupid snow in West Virginia and it is making me a little spacey.

The male in the second picture shows excellent type. Can't see any others well enough to comment on. Where do they come from?

I just got some eggs today from a man that breeds show birds, I got 2 dozen that were assorted LF RIRs and LF White Rocks and and 1 dozen assorted eggs that were RIR bantam and White Cornish bantam. He didn't the eggs marked so I don't know how many of each I got, but he had some of his adults there too and they looked great. The White Rocks were HUGE and the RIRs were nice too, the bantams looked almost black.

They are out of David Bell's Line.
As far As I know I have the last trio of this line.
If there are others out there with David's line Please email me.

Thank you,
