RIR Roosters or hens?

If they were sold to you as pullets, contact the seller. He'll either be honorable and refund the money/exchange for pullets/at least take the roos off your hands, or he'll be a butt and blow you off. But you don't know until you try.

Thanks for all the help and advice guys. I've finally been able to get in touch with the seller. He was very apologetic and has agreed to take the roos back and refund my money or replace with pullets. He told me to dispose of them at first and that he would refund my money, but i didn't have the heart to do that.

Oh I'm so glad you had a good seller! I know if it was me, I'd want to know I'd made a mistake and make it right. I'm glad he did, and now you get to get eggs!!!

I hate it when that happens...It won't make you feel any better, but they are really good looking Rhode Island Reds. Have you tried to call the guy to offer a trade for 3 pullets (or 2 pullets if you want to start raising chicks). Now that you can recognize a Roo, hopefully you can avoid this problem again.
Search this forum Chicken swap meets, and try to trade them on this website.
Good Luck!

My RIR was my first one to lay right at 22 weeks and she has laid an egg everyday since then (3+ weeks now). She is even more productive at laying than my Production Red which I have to say really surprised me I thought sure the PR would be the laying machine.
