Thanks in advance for taking time to look at these for me. I have 3 Rhode Island Reds, they are exactly 6 weeks old today (May 31, 2020). I tried my best to wing sex them when I purchased them as where we live roosters are not allowed. All three are the same size, behavior is the same and stance is the same. Today I noticed that one of them has a much redder comb. That must have just started changing as I interact with them every day and it wasn't like that before. Is that a pretty sure sign it is a rooster or am I still in the watch and wait stage? As a side note i tried to gently tell my daughter (age 7) if he is a rooster because of our city ordinance we may have to do something with him. (I was going to suggest rehoming), but before I could she shrugged and said, "it's a chicken, let's eat it. I like legs." She must be born to be a farmer.

Thank you! I thought I accidentally indicated "hatching" as a subheading or something.☺️ I appreciate your feedback!
