I have two little RIR - and when they first arrived I thought the one was a buff - she was SO pale, the only way Icould tell her apart from the buffs (other than her SPICY personality) was a tiny spot on her head.
She's feathering out now and now I can't tell the two RIR apart - other than the one I KNEW was a RIR has lighter tips on her feathers - I believe they both have black in their tails, but whats the deal with the pale tips on the feathers...?
I should try get a pic sometime!
