RIRs - production strains vs. true RIRs....?

After hatching my Rose Combed RIR's from Julie (Bammachicken) I would NEVER consider a hatchery RIR again. My Josephine is so beautiful and so sweet. I have had hatchery RIRs in the past and they just can not compete with the quality, IMO.

I have several hatchery RIR's and they are great layers but I think next time I'm going to try hatching some breeder egg's.How does the egg laying and the size of the egg's compare with hatchery one's.
